String Access Shims
 These shims retrieve the C-string for arbitrary types.

Window Access Shims
 These shims retrieve the HWND for arbitrary types.

Synchronisation Control Shims
 These shims control the behaviour of synchronisation objects.

Pointer Access Shims
 These shims retrieve the pointer for arbitrary pointer types.
